What is this feature for?

Do I need any prior knowledge?
No.
The chat interface lets Arcarius adapt to your needs. Just tell him to take your current level of knowledge into account in his explanations, or ask him to walk you through specific topics step by step. Beginner or expert — you can ask anything here. Arcarius is happy to help.
What information does Arcarius have access to?
Arcarius can access your accounting data — specifically the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and documents. This data is updated every night. If you need a more up-to-date snapshot, you can trigger a free refresh at any time — in that case, the general ledger will be reloaded. If you also need sub-ledgers and documents refreshed, please contact us.
In addition, Arcarius has access to the web and an internal knowledge database. This knowledge database includes more than 500 Switzerland-relevant legal texts, circulars, and similar resources, which we update regularly. Arcarius will always check these sources first and will tell you if web search is required. Please keep in mind that despite these safeguards, Arcarius can make mistakes — always verify important details.
One more thing: Arcarius can follow the current conversation (within one chat), but not the history of other chats. The longer a chat becomes, the more context has to be processed. For new topics, we recommend starting a new chat to save time and costs — of course, that’s free for you.
Which modes are available?
Standard Mode
This is where it all started.
Standard Mode is ideal for most everyday questions. Arcarius can research, use that knowledge to analyze your data, create charts and tables, and explain the underlying logic clearly. Are you looking for a specific receipt? Or would you like to check whether your accounts are balanced? How about a clean, convincing report for your boss on how sales developed last month — including charts and tables?

Deep Mode
Our powerhouse.
Deep Mode is designed for complex, extensive requests. For example, you can upload a PDF with 80 audit questions and let Arcarius work through it. Or you can analyze your company’s performance across multiple years to identify strengths, weaknesses, and new opportunities. Or you can have Arcarius research how SFTA interest rates have changed and what that means for your loans.
To enable deeper analyses, you can upload up to 7 documents or submit up to 14 pages as part of a request. If you want charts afterwards, simply switch back to Standard Mode — Arcarius keeps the conversation context.

Extra features:

Cost difference vs. Standard Mode:
In Deep Mode, Arcarius is required to plan in greater detail and review results more thoroughly. It also takes attached documents into account. This typically leads to slightly higher costs than Standard Mode.
Please understand that Deep Mode responses may take a bit longer — your uploaded documents need to be processed and a plan needs to be created.
Knowledge Mode
The speedy one.
Knowledge Mode is built for research on legal, accounting and tax topics that don’t require analyzing your company’s accounting data. In this mode, Arcarius uses the internal knowledge database first and performs web searches if additional sources are needed. He will include sources in his answer so you can verify the results. By choosing this mode, Arcarius immediately knows it’s “research only,” which saves time and effort — and that’s reflected in the price.
