Use Cases & Pricing

What are credits?

Credits are required to use Arcarius. Depending on how many credits you purchase, one credit costs roughly CHF 0.25–0.27.

As the Billing Admin, you can purchase credits under “Credits” via pay-as-you-go and/or auto-reload in different amounts. Credits can be used by all users in your organization and across all your companies. You can track your usage in "Credit Reporting".

Why do we use credits?

Let’s try something new.

Arcarius is a comprehensive platform with very different offerings — from One-on-One insights to Closings and Reporting, all the way to Rebooking. And every customer is unique, with unique needs: some are fiduciaries who need 50 annual closings, 30 annual reports, and 10×12 monthly closings per year. Others are startups who mainly use Arcarius to stay on top of their finances and report to investors. We tried building subscriptions (because… everyone does it, right?), but we struggled to define “the right plan” for all these very different use cases.

That’s when we pulled the plug. Subscriptions just don’t fit us. We’d have to squeeze customers into plans we can’t genuinely stand behind. So what do we do instead?

Let’s take a step together. We believe in Arcarius — and we think you’ll get along great, too. That’s why you only pay for real results, no fine print. In return, we ask for a bit of flexibility to try something new: no subscriptions, just maximum flexibility.

In practical terms, that means: no onboarding fees, no support fees, no charges for the knowledge database, no extra fees for additional users or companies — all of that is included. Instead of paying a monthly (or annual) subscription, you top up credits, and credits are deducted automatically based on your request and the amount of data involved.

In short: credits give you maximum flexibility. You can use them across all companies and all features. You can buy as many as you want, whenever you want, as often as you want. You can start small and let Arcarius prove itself. And importantly: if your company generates lower AI costs on our side (for example because you have fewer transactions), we can pass those savings on directly — simply by deducting fewer credits for your request. And what's in it for us? Lower complexity means less subscription consulting and less overhead.

How many credits do I need?

For Reporting, Closing, and Rebooking, we operate on a fixed-price basis. Pricing for One-on-One, however, is variable.

A significant part of this module’s functionality is powered by artificial intelligence — large language models that we integrate and pay for on a per-request basis. Those costs depend on the complexity of the question and the amount of data involved. Companies with fewer transactions and/or simpler bookkeeping typically incur lower AI costs. We pass those savings on to you. This makes pricing slightly variable — and keeps Arcarius attractive and affordable for businesses of any size.

If you do not have enough credits for a request, you will be informed in advance.

One-on-One:

In One-on-One, pricing depends on the nature of your request. For example, uploading an audit document with 80 questions or checking unbalanced accounts results in different costs on the LLM provider side and therefore leads to variable pricing.

For reference, here are a few real use cases:

  • Create a cash flow statement for H2 2024 – approx. 5 credits
  • Compare my budget (see Excel) with the actual current figures as of today – approx. 4 credits
  • Create a cash flow projection for the next 8 weeks and explain the model – approx. 25 credits
  • For November closing, please search for all accruals and deferrals and prepare them for booking – approx. 20 Credits
