bexio User Permissions

Configure bexio User Permissions for Arcarius

For Arcarius to import all relevant data from your bexio account, certain modules must be enabled in the bexio user permissions for the connected user. If a permission is missing, Arcarius cannot retrieve the corresponding data and the onboarding will fail.

This is especially relevant when a fiduciary accesses a client's data through their own account. In this case, the client must explicitly grant the required permissions to the fiduciary in bexio.

How to access user permissions

  1. Log in to your bexio account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Packages, Options and Users → Manage Users
  3. Click Edit User Permissions for the desired user

Required Permissions

Please make sure the following modules are enabled:

Accounting

  • Buchhaltung → Enable module
  • Buchhaltung - Geschäftsjahre → Enable module

Contacts

  • Kontakt → Enable module, View: all

Sales

  • Verkauf – Rechnungen → Enable module, View: all
  • Verkauf – Angebote → Enable module, View: all
  • Verkauf – Aufträge → Enable module, View: all
  • Verkauf – Lieferungen → Enable module, View: all
  • Verkauf – Gutschriften → Enable module, View: all
  • Verkauf – Mahnwizard → Enable module

Purchasing

  • Einkauf – Lieferantenrechnungen → Enable module
  • Einkauf – Lieferantengutschriften → Enable module
  • Einkauf – Aufwendungen → Enable module

Files

  • Belegupload → Enable module
  • Datei-Upload bei Kontakten → Enable module, View: all

Note for Fiduciaries

If you are accessing a client's data as a fiduciary, your client must grant you these permissions in their bexio account. Ask your client to enable the modules listed above for your user. Without this access, Arcarius cannot import data through your account.

Common Issues

Onboarding fails with a permission error

Check that all modules listed above are enabled for the connected user. Even a single missing module can cause the corresponding onboarding step to fail.

No data despite enabled modules

Make sure that for modules with a view option, the setting is set to «all» and not «own only». With «own only», only entries created by the user themselves will be imported.
